Karmen is generally happy-go-lucky, putting her all into everything she sets her mind to. Woefully, she is illiterate in the Eorzean script, and does her best to navigate the areas of Eorzean culture she is unaware of with a positive attitude and bubbly smile. She loves performing in many capacities, whether it be strumming her lute for a small crowd or going toe-to-toe with a fighter in an arena. She is a firm believer in "the show must go on", and often hides her true emotions under a people-pleasing mask. Being a Roegadyn, she is painfully aware of being over seven feet tall, and tries her best to look smaller and dainty to better fit in with the general population. She loves being treated like a princess, and loves girly things that are pink and frilly. A good fandom descriptor for her would be "herbo" (a female version of a himbo that is strong, kind-hearted, and quite stupid).

Karmen Sparx (real name: Unsynmyna Ybolgdoenwyn) comes from a nomadic tribe of Roegadyn that rove the frigid waters of the Northern Empty, rarely coming in contact with people not of her tribe. The tribe is called the Aisgarr - the Ice Chorus. They are known for their nomadic nature, only docking in ports to restock their ships. They are very proud of being able to live off the sea. While they do not engage in as much pirating as the larger clan of Sea Wolves do, they are well-known for supplying raids with cannon shells, one of their signature exports. Their technique for casting metal at sea is a closely guarded secret.Aisgarr are known for their resistance to cold temperatures and high internal body heat. Common skin tones are green and blue. They have evolved pointed ears as a genetic quirk, and all have an underbite with large lower canines. Most of their jobs are fishers, smiths, traders, and makers of handmade goods such as weaving and carving. They are known for being proficient in melee combat. They are among the few Roegadyn tribes that speak the Old Roegadyn language daily.Her mother died in battle against the primal Leviathan when Karmen was two, leaving her father and three brothers to raise her. At the age of ten, she would have an encounter with Leviathan herself, wounding her eye and leaving her with ability to occasionally interact with spirits whose deaths were untouched by Primals- though Karmen herself is unaware that she can see dead people.Fascinated by the culture of those who lived on the land, specifically Elezen, she left her family as an older teen to achieve her dreams of learning the Elezen art of the bow. Disappointed that her dreams of faerie courts and Elezen royalty were, in fact, not true, she focused on honing her talent of song. She is content to wander across Eorzea and beyond, to learn of its many cultures and peoples that are far unlike her own, and collect and memorize their songs, hymns, and ballads, so she may some day return to her tribe and share what she has learned.

Karmen grew up in a nomadic, isolated tribe that rarely interacted with other peoples and cultures. Because of this, she is still learning about how unfamiliar the world is, and many things are foreign to her. Please forgive her if she stares.

Never to back down from a challenge, Karmen loves wrestling and hand to hand combat. Her eagerness to throw down (and the thrill of victory) has led her in several unconventional (and sometimes dangerous) situations.
